Street of Fire

The day before 4th of July our ward had an activity called the "Street of Fire". It was a lot of fun getting to hang out, eat and play games. The kids got a kick out of the water balloon fight.

Little Hannah had a great time just hanging out with us!

Everyone also had fun taking Jaxon for rides in his wagon.
Then kids also got to decorate their bikes and scooters to march in a parade but I forgot to get pictures of that. It was a great start to a very festive weekend!

Father's Day

I know this is late but I wanted to say that we had a great Father's Day. I helped the boys make a candy gram for Paul for Father's Day. It has kind of become tradition. He acts surprised every year and the boys LOVE giving it to him.

Later that evening we went to my parents' house for a barbeque, the dads got steak, and celebrated with my dad. Then we headed over to Paul's parents' house for dessert and celebrated with his dad. I love living so close to all our family!!!

Tyler's Eye Surgery

We noticed Tyler's eye started crossing when he was about 16 months old. When we took him to the eye doctor we started patching his eye and he started wearing glasses. That was 5 years ago and since then he has had to have both eye patched, eye surgery on both eyes and has had to have one of the lenses on his glasses patched for 4 hours a day. On Thursday Tyler had to have his 2nd eye surgery to hopefully correct his lazy eye for good. He was such a brave little guy and he did so well. He was really nervous, not to mention that I was also nervous.

Here he is before the surgery, happy and just playing his DS waiting.

And this is after sitting with Paul. It was hard to get him to wake up.

The eye was very sensitive to the light so he is trying to cover his eye.

He slept for a while after but a few hours later he was watching movies and acting like himself. The inside of his eye is red and a little puffy, but the doctor says he is doing great. I sure hope this is the last time he has eye surgery!!!

Children's Art Festival

I have been trying to find things for the kids to do so their days don't seem so long, so one day a couple of weeks ago we went to the Children's Art Festival at BYU. They had all kinds of things there for the kids to do.

Here they are eating their huge gingerbread cookies they frosted.

They all got their faces painted with rockets on them that they really liked. Jaxon wiped his off like 2 seconds later.

They also had all the Art by the guy that does the "I Spy" books that the kids really liked. I think I may take them there again sometime because the art there is so cool!

Joshua's Last Day of Preschool

On June 10th, Joshua had his last day of preschool. I had the chance to go and spend it with him. I just look at this little guy and can't believe another chapter has closed and another one is about to open with him going to Kindergarten in the fall. It was such a fun day!

We got to go outside and play and eat frozen apple juice popsicles. YUM!

During the middle of class there was a fire drill which all the kids knew what to do. Here is Josh with some friends waiting by the fence to go back inside.

The class also did a program singing some very fun songs!!!

I was so impressed to see him sitting so well singing all the songs. Made mama proud!!!

I sure love my bubbly rambunctious child. Joshua the preschool graduate!!!

Hannah 9 months

I can't believe little Miss Hannah is 9 months old today. She is practically not a baby anymore. She is now crawling EVERYWHERE and is pulling herself up to stand on things. Just within the last week she has cut one bottom tooth and 3 others are almost cut through. So she has been extra fussy lately, waking up at least once a night. She says "da da" like a champ and occasionally she says "ma, ma". The boys just can't get enough of her and I am sure it won't be long before our baby is walking. We just love this bright blue eyed girl!

Hannah's First big girl bath!

Since Hannah started sitting up on her own a few weeks ago, we thought it was time for her to enjoy the big bathtub without any help. She LOVED the water and thought it was the funnest thing ever. It is so much easier to wash her now too and we just love bath time. She is growing up way too fast!

She just isn't a baby anymore!

So it was so nice that Hannah was finally sitting up. I could give her toys and she would just play for so long in one spot. Well a couple of days afterwards she figured out how to do the army crawl like none other. And soon after figured out how to crawl. Now she is so fast and we are constantly moving her away from things she shouldn't be around. It is fun to see her move but I miss her just sitting there. I can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Tyler's Kindergarten Graduation

I can't believe that Tyler has finished Kindergarten. It has gone so fast and he has learned so much. He was so excited for us to come to the end of the year program. The kids sang some fun songs and both sets of grandparents got to come as well. We are so proud of you Tyler!

Tyler and his friend Makai.

Jaxon got wanted his picture sitting at the table.

Tyler and his kindergarten teacher Mrs. Amesse.

His graduation certificate.

Ethan's Luau

For the end of the year, the 2nd graders had a luau. It was so fun to see them all dressed up doing these dances and songs. I wasn't in a good spot so I couldn't really get any good pictures of Ethan but Paul got some great video of it on his camera!

You can kind of see him in the back with his sticks.

Even my dad dressed up for the occassion. We got some yummy snacks afterwards too.

Hannah is sitting up-FINALLY!

All four of my boys were sitting up on their own by the time they were 7 months old. But Hannah still would fall over. It was so frustrating because I wanted to be able to sit her up to play with toys. So finally a few days after she turned 8 months old she went from her tummy to this, all by herself. She finally could sit up and it was so nice!!! It is like a new phase in her life!!!

Baseball Games

Ethan and Tyler started their baseball games last month and we are busy going to practices and games! I guess I need to get more pictures of Ethan because I just can't find any of him but here are a few of Tyler. He is really enjoying playing this year! Not to mention he is doing way better!

My parents and Paul's parents have come to some of the games and we all enjoy their company there!

Sometimes it is actually hard to watch the game because I am too busy watching these two, but we have all had a great time!!!

Paul's Birthday

It has been a few weeks since I have blogged so I have quite lot of things to blog about. First is about Paul's birthday that was May 18th. He had to work all day on that day but when he came home the house was decorated and presents were on the table. Each of the kids picked out something for him and he was so excited to open each one. The kids loved giving him their cards and presents and we ended the night with eating some Krispy Kreme donuts.

We finally got together last night to celebrate his birthday with our families. Paul requested his mom's yummy enchiladas for dinner and then we had cake and ice cream. Our neice who is 5 also put on a cute play for him. We all had a great time!

Ethan's 5K

At the end of the year at Ethan and Tyler's school they do a 5K run.  Paul went and ran it with him.  A lot of people were there and Paul sad he did an awesome job.  Here they are before the race.

After the race with a couple of friends.  A bunch of goof balls!

Ethan said he had a great time and I am hoping I will be able to run it next year too.  I have been trying to work on my running.

We are very proud of him.  Tyler also ran around the school but the kindergartners don't do the 5K.  Tyler did great too.

Mother's Day

I had a really good Mother's Day this year.  Paul stayed up late to make this sign which I was very happy to wake up too.  He didn't want me to post it but I thought it was sweet that he tried to hand make me a sign this year.

All the kids made me some wonderful gifts this year.  Ethan painted this gorgeous picture of a flower at his school.  I love it and am going to try and frame it.

He also made this card and painted this magnet for the fridge.

Paul got me a rose and a gift certificate.  Very sweet.

Josh made me a card, a button and rainbow at his school.  He was so proud to give it to me.

Tyler had this picture taken at his school and it came with a cute poem.  I loved it!

All the gifts.  Mother's day just keeps getting better now that the boys are old enough to make me gifts.  I absolutely love them.  I feel so blessed!!!

Hannah 8 months

I can't believe Hannah is 8 months old today.  My baby is starting to not look like my little baby anymore.  She is getting so big and so TALL.  That is almost always what people say when they see her.  She is just so much fun though and is days away from crawling.  She has the army crawl down perfect though.  She is such an Angel and we love her so much!

Fabulous Friday Pictures!

Since I haven't posted for awhile I thought I would just put in some random fun pictures of what the kids have been up to.

Anytime you bring a camera out Jaxon immediately says "cheese".  So cute!

Hannah is doing much better at eating now and she loves to sit in the big high chair!

Tyler and Josh share a bed right now and the end up in the craziest positions.  They are wild sleepers.

Josh loves to play the gameboy and so now Jaxon plays one too.  He will follow Josh everywhere and reminds Josh to go potty once and a while.  SO funny!

Ethan on the other hand hardly moves when he sleeps.

And I don't know if you remember when Hannah was first born, Joshua wouldn't leave her side.  He doesn't do that anymore but he still loves her to death.  He always wants to hold her or kiss and hug her.  I sure hope it lasts!

So Big!

Hannah Banana is getting so big, well in age anyways.  She is still a little thing.  But she has almost mastered sitting up and is now attempting to scoot along the floor.  I can't believe that this little helpless baby who it seems I just was cuddling in my arms for the first time is now moving on to a new stage.  I am sure within weeks she will be crawling.  She loves to be on her tummy and that is how she chooses to sleep in her crib.  I even tried putting a bow in her hair today and she had just enough to keep it in for like 10 minutes.  Maybe by the time she is 1 she will have enough hair to keep it in a little longer.  I wish she wasn't growing up so fast but I am LOVING each new phase.  She is definitely mommy's little girl and I am sure Paul would say that she is daddy's little girl too.  We love you Hannah!!!

Spring Break Day #3

On Friday, after we picked the boys up from my parents' house, we headed to Salt Lake to the Gateway.  We took the kids to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum.  We had never been there before and it turned out to be a very fun place!

On our way!

Jaxon loves to wear these sunglasses in the car and he always puts them on upside down.

It didn't take long for them to all fall asleep.  They were so tired from having too much fun each day.

Poor Hannah always just stayed in her carseat where ever we went but she was such a trooper and was always happy!

Jaxon on the other hand was a grump and we had a hard time making him happy.

On place was a green screen and the boys could see themselves on a TV screen with different backgrounds.  They loved it!

This is them tumbling to the ground.  It was so funny!!!

There were so many different activities and they boys could of gone for hours and hours!

They all loved the rock climbing wall.  Josh did really well at it!

These tubes would suck the balls up and the boys couldn't get enough of it.

Their favorite was the real helicopter.  They didn't want to leave this place at all.  They kept pretending they were actually flying.  I loved watching them all play.

They got to pretend they were newscasters.

We had a blast there and I hope we can go again one day.
